Which subscription is right for me?
Please see guide below to determine which level is right for you - but even better, you can transfer your subscription to a different level when you need to at no extra cost! Remember, Globalinguae uses the Input-Based Instruction, meaning you will be listening to and reading about a wide variety of topics in Spanish. This research-based method recognizes that you can understand far more than you can write or speak, so you will begin reading texts and listening to stories from your very first unit! This is different from the way many language courses are taught, so even if you have studied Spanish before you may want to start at Novice A and transfer to harder courses once you are ready.
Novice Levels (mainly present tense with some exposure to additional tenses)
Under development - Novice A: If you are new to studying Spanish, it's been a long time, or you haven't ever studied via the "Comprehensible Input" method, this is where you should start! (This is the equivalent of my first-semester/beginning of first-year Spanish courses)
Novice 2: This course builds on Novice 1 and introduces students to the mechanics of Present Tense (This is roughly the equivalent of my second-semester/end of first-year Spanish courses)
Novice 3: This course builds on Novice 2 and assumes you know how regular present tense verbs work. The use of Spanish increases in complexity and expands the Present Tense to include stem-changing verbs and compound verb forms (i.e. present progressive) as well as direct object pronouns. (This is roughly the equivalent of my third-semester/beginning of second-year Spanish courses)
Novice 4: This course will continue to expand your vocabulary and refine your mastery of communicating in present tense (This is roughly the equivalent of my fourth-semester/end of-second year Spanish courses)
Intermediate Levels (all tenses)
These courses will be under development once the Novice levels are complete!
Test prep: STAMP (high school credit), CLEP (college credit), and AP (college credit) - Please check with your institutions to clarify testing procedures and verify scores will be accepted
