Professional Development

Picture
I am continually learning and growing as an educator and as an individual.  The teaching environment demands that educators continually adapt to new circumstances with students and parents, curriculum, methodology, standards, school leadership, and more.  These are my current goals for professional development and my action plans for how to achieve them.  I periodically revisit these goals and make adjustments as needed.

Examples of recent professional development Activities:
  • Ongoing development through higher education, including pursing an Ed.S. in Educational Leadership
  • Participation in reflective practice sessions which involve observing/being observed by other teachers and then discussing observations and next steps.
  • Kagan Cooperative Learning and Engagement workshops
  • Presenting and participating in school professional development workshops
  • Reflective blog entries
